An excellent family Easter holiday in every aspect. Angela and Rob took care of all the organising and perfectly tailored the agenda to suit us. They encouraged us and supported us from start to finish. We enjoyed the stops along the way, the challenge was just right and we are very proud of our achievement. Day 1 – Leongatha to Foster, stopping at Meeniyan for lunch at Moo’s, and at Fish Creek for a wander in the gallery and shops, then on to Foster for a hearty meal at the local pub and staying the night in a comfortable lodge/motel. Day 2 – Breakfast at the motel with great coffee and then on to scenic Port Welshpool which we would have visited a bit more had we not been so slow on the trail… In the afternoon , the men went on to Grand Ridge for a downhill thrill while we women went back to the sanctuary of the charming and beautiful Alkira cottages.
Day 3 Breakfast at Alkira was a real treat with local produce aplenty – some of it even sourced from the rail trail! We set out from Bass to Wonthaggi for another scenic ride including some fabulous coastline views.
I commend Angela and Rob for their amazing organisation skills, their cheery welcome, their friendly encouragement and their attention to every detail. With sincere appreciation, J&G&M&M
